Jan Kline's Bio

Jan Moser Kline is a lifelong Frederick County resident.  She grew up in Middletown, Maryland and currently resides in Smithsburg, Maryland with her family.  Recently, she has been contending with some health issues and a dreaded cancer diagnosis. In late February 2018, started to feel dizzy and extremely nauseated.  A trip to the emergency room revealed that Jan didn’t have enough blood in her system to make her heart beat correctly.  After several units of blood and quite a few iron transfusions, she was sent for more testing to discover the cause.  In March 2018, Jan was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the cervix.  Her road to treatment and recovery has just begun, however medical bills are already mounting.

Jan is an LPN who travels the tri-state area and visits patients in their home.  She is a  35 year old wife and a mother of 3 beautiful children ages 3 (Logan), 5 (Bella) , and 14(Ronnie III).  She is the primary source of income in their home, as her husband cares for the children. It is hopeful that surgery will be successful, and further treatments will be decided after that is complete. Their family will have very little income at this time, as Jan does not benefit from paid leave.  Her recovery is estimated to keep her at home for 6-8 weeks.  It is our fervent hope and prayer that this road will lead to complete recovery and a healthy future for Jan and her family.
