Rebekah Stansberry

Rebekah Stansberry Fund

Most days or evenings friends and neighbors in Walkersville, MD see Rebekah (Becky) and her husband, Sam walking their golden lab, Rocky. Often people would wave and smile knowing the daily walk was a given in life, a mainstay, a routine. But in December 2008 that routine was shattered when Becky Stansberry was diagnosed with stage 4 gall bladder cancer. Becky is 44 years old, has been married to Sam for 25 years. They have a daughter, Avery, 19 and a son, Ethan, 17.

Becky and her family have been Frederick County residents for 25 years and currently reside in Walkersville where they have lived for 13 years. Becky has been employed for 24 years with Farmers and Mechanics, now PNC Bank as a Loss prevention associate officer. Becky is currently unable to work while she undergoes chemo treatments at FMH cancer center. Her cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and liver. Please join Becky, along with family and friends in their fight against this deadly disease. Let's help Becky get back to walking their dog, Rocky with her husband by her side.

Mission Statement

The Patty Pollatos Fund, Inc. is an independent and non-sectarian 501(c)(3) and community-based non-profit that operates with an all-volunteer workforce to educate and assist local families and individuals in Maryland about economic opportunities, raise funds and assist in raising funds for families during the temporary financial strain caused by cancer, spinal cord injuries, heart, liver or kidney transplants which knows no income level. We stand in the gap for other non-profits in their hour of need and we also provide assistance, as needed, with national disasters.
