Mindie is the 18 yr old daughter of Tom
and Cindy Heward. Mindie loves Art,
Photography, Acting and Dancing.
She has been in the cast of many musical
plays over the past 12 years. She is a
very active member of her
youth group at Evangelical Bible Church,
Thurmont, Md. She has dreams and goals
of modeling and acting.
In 2009 Mindie was diagnosed with Reflex
Neurovascular Dystrophy (RND) and
Juvenile Fibromyalgia.
Both are very painful Neurovascular
diseases that affect blood cells,
reducing oxygen to the skin, muscles and
bones. This pain often interferes with
ability to walk and causes severe
burning sensation of skin. Also causes
widespread pain in all muscles ligaments
and tendons as well as malfunctions in
the nervous system, constant flu like
symptoms with nausea and vomiting.
Severe fatigue, sleep disorder, chronic
headaches and dizziness and Severe
Depression are all daily battles for
Mindie.
All these symptoms have forced her to
unenroll in public school and do online
classes which has been a tremendous
struggle.
The family's medical insurance has only
covered part of her Ongoing test,
treatments and medications. Therefore
all Prayers and donations are greatly
appreciated as the balance after
insurance is well over $10,000 to date.
