Gavin Byrnes Fund

Gavin is our seven year old child who
has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s
Lymphoma (T-cell Lymphoblastic
Lymphoma). He was diagnosed on March
16th, 2010 at Children’s Hospital,
Washington D.C. His prognosis is good
but he will undergo aggressive treatment
for the next eight months followed by
monthly treatments for another twenty
months. After that, there will be a wait
time of about five years to find out if
the cancer has cleared.
Gavin is loved as a son, brother,
grandson, great grandson, nephew, cousin
and friend to many. Until you are faced
with such a difficult situation, it is
hard to understand how this can affect a
family. Gavin went from being a healthy,
vibrant seven year old who loved
transformers and reptiles to a diagnosis
of cancer and barely having the energy
to walk outside. His treatments have
devastated Gavin as well as members of
the family both physically and
emotionally. Our world has been turned
upside down.
We
are asking for donations to help cover
expenses related to his treatment. This
has been a very trying time for the
family and any donation will be greatly
appreciated, no matter how small.
Donations can be made in the name of
Gavin Byrnes and are tax deductible
(receipt will be provided).
Our
Sincerest Thank You,
Gavin and Family |
