The Smith Family and the Patty
Pollatos Fund are asking for your help and
generosity to support a family in crisis.
William “Bo” Smith is in need of a heart
transplant. The help that you give goes directly
to Bo Smith and his family’s living and medical
expenses. Your generosity would be received with
sincere gratitude.

Story!
Hello, my name is
Lori Smith and my husband is William “Bo” Smith
pictured here. We have 4 beautiful daughters and
have always been a close family. We have been
through a lot of hardships with my husband being
in and out of hospitals with heart problems. The
doctors say it’s nothing short of a miracle that
he has made it this far, and the road ahead is
going to need a lot of love and support from
everyone around him. We’ve learned that a heart
transplant is our last option. This is where I'm
asking for help because although our family is
an excellent support group, we have become
financially burdened. With all the time spent in
hospitals, there is low income coming in, and we
are juggling medical bills on top of our regular
home bills. Bo has just turned 50 years old. He
has a lot of life left to live and wants to
watch his girls grow up. Please support the
fundraisers that my family and friends are
coordinating to help raise money to bring him
home with all the medical care he needs. We
still have a long road to travel and appreciate
any help you may provide. Thank you!

Mission Statement
The Patty Pollatos Fund, Inc. is an independent and
non-sectarian 501(c)(3) and community-based non-profit that operates
with an all-volunteer workforce to educate and assist local families and
individuals in Maryland about economic opportunities, raise funds and
assist in raising funds for families during the temporary financial
strain caused by cancer, spinal cord injuries, heart, liver or kidney
transplants which knows no income level. We stand in the gap for other
non-profits in their hour of need and we also provide assistance, as
needed, with national disasters.
